Valkyrie (demo)
05:44
|
|||
Twins ravens were sighted far up in the sky
A sign of the lives to be lost
The blind man was summoned to see past the eye
To thaw the temporal frost
The blood in my veins felt a chilling cold
The sightless one breathed in and spoke
The end of our sacred land of old
A vision of fire and smoke
We gathered our weapons, our war supply
To loved ones we said goodbye
With unblinking eyes the gods gaze down from the skies
The buried truth hidden in existence
That we dare not ponder
We are dying in every moment we breathe
But we cling to honor
Is it the deeds we do, or the wars we fight
That ensure our memory?
Are these scant few years that I have seen
All I will ever be?
As the winds of winter drown out our prayers
We watch as the foe draws near
With unwavering hands they stalk towards our lands
And I know within that at last that day is here
My ultimate trial
My arm is strong but a fog lies on my mind
The fog of denial
The elders tell us that the day we fall
We will see our Valkyrie
This is no time for lies, and I know that when I die
No Valkyrie will come for me
With unblinking eyes I see her sweep down from the sky

Heart of a Pagan (demo)
03:27
|
|||
Longships carve through the icy waters
As the wind bites at our frozen faces
A banner is raised above the sail
The sign of heathen invasion
Through frigid doom and stormy ruin
We sail towards the isle of riches
Our enemies await us on the shore
But no man or god can defy our ambition
And father sky gathers the clouds
As they turn black as the night
And mother earth shifts and groans
As the hills quake with fright
The pride of our fathers
Drives us forth
‘Til all the world fears
The men from the north
Our foe is gathered
But we stand unshaken
Courage and valor
Dwell in the heart of the pagan
Boots of leather are stamping the mud
As we march away from our households
Our island we shall defend with our blood
This day you shall not take our gold
And father sky gathers the clouds
As they turn black as the night
And mother earth shifts and groans
As the hills quake with fright
The resolve of my kinsmen
Is broken by your deceit
Carnage rages
And you bring us defeat
I realize now
As I lay here forsaken
Violence and cruelty
Dwell in the heart of the pagan

Goddess Freya (demo)
04:03
|
|||
The veiled one in your dreams
Walks with staff in hand
From her face crimson tears stream
They flow though broken land
Her snowy hand of healing
The touch of dew on sleepy meadows
The lover on the land is kneeling
Her breath freely on flows
Tapestry of destiny
Fates of men seen clearly
Goddess in white, light my way
Through briar dark and weather thick
Your cloak protects me in battle-fray
Your aid is gifted ever-quick
A windy gust through barren trees
Dying embers of doomed men
High spirit born on the breeze
She stalks the ground among the dead
Her icy hand of certainty
The touch of frost on crippled plains
The soldier on the land lies rigidly
Her shimmering breath fills his veins
Tapestry of destiny
Fates of men seen clearly
Goddess in white, light my way
Through briar dark and weather thick
Your cloak protects me in battle-fray
Your aid is gifted ever-so-quick, Goddess Freya
The veiled one seen in your dreams
Walks with staff in hand
From her face crimson tears stream
And they flow though this broken land
A gentle touch from her golden arts
And the autumn wind you become
Summer’s joy you shall depart
To dwell forevermore in winter’s heart
Tapestry of destiny
Fates of men seen clearly
Goddess in white, light my way
Through briar dark and weather thick
Your cloak protects me in battle-fray
Your aid is gifted ever-quick
